Theorem’s technology will transform the lives of 650,000 students in Croatia

Croatia has embarked on a €130 million national initiative, funded primarily by The European Union, to transform the manner in which the country educates their 650,000 students. The Croatian Academic Research Network, CARNet, dictated by the Ministry of Education, solicited worldwide a request for proposal for technology venders to demonstrate an education platform to be selected for integration into the national school system for utilization by 2020. After a lengthy review, the contract for a national educational platform was granted to ContentNet Education, Ltd. now Theorem Education domiciled in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The formal introduction of the Theo platform was held at
CARNet’s annual national educational forum in November 2017
with numerous accolades and much enthusiasm from hundreds
of academic professionals who attended demonstrations.
The comprehensive, yet intuitive web-based software was devised
by an extensive development team that incorporated many
concepts outlined by CARNet academic professionals.

Indeed, the platform has been recognized as one of the very top technologies submitted to the 2017 UNESCO education competition that included 143 submissions.

The entire platform, greatly enhanced by the addition of artificial intelligence and machine learning, is wholly dynamic and fluid. The metamorphosis of the technology is so extensive that a complete rebranding of the platform was required to reflect the new technologies that have been incorporated. Theorem Education now “anticipates” each individual student’s status and capabilities based on the student’s performance and response.

The challenge of implementing an educational platform, regardless of its robustness and intuitiveness, is the ancient issue of introducing a new pedagogical methodology far removed from the manner in which teachers are taught to teach. Thus, Theorem has incorporated a host of tools to greatly simplify teacher’s tasks. Exams and quizzes can be graded automatically and content pertinent to any class can be easily accessed and incorporated into the lesson.

The teacher is enabled to create relevant content on the “fly” depending on the student’s level of comprehension and interest. The result is a customized education for each student. Further, Theorem Education has created a tutoring agent, “Theo”, who the student can engage anytime for assistance and clarification while also having the ability to collaborate with fellow students who share similar interests and skills.
